Limited hours, great local diner, friendly. Loved the omelet & hashbrowns with toast. Kept the coffee cup full :-)

Great food.

Lovely little diner. Had a Philly Steak which was delightful and some chili. Waitstaff is friendly and I look forward to returning to Kathy's should I ever find myself on the island again.

Great place to grab breakfast. It had the typical diner fare and everything came out tasting very good. The service was excellent and my coffee cup never even went half empty without being refilled. I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

My daughter and I stopped in there while on a bike ride. It was a perfect stop for us. We ordered a half sandwich and a cup of soup and it was a perfect portion size for us both. The food was delicious. The service was good. They have a good sized menu but they close at 4p. I wish they had longer hours so I could take my family for dinner. Since my daughter and I stopped there, she is always asking to go there but it always seems to be after closing time when she's asking. We both really liked it.

Best omelette in town....ask for the Dougeefresh!

Kathy's Cafe serves a nice breakfast. Simple American fare that is fresh and good. I enjoyed the Greek Skillet.

Food is standard American diner fare, with standard affordable prices. Breakfast most popular. Service is usually timely and friendly. Restaurant is pretty clean.

I'm in town scouting locations for an aerial shoot. Stopped here for breakfast. The food is great but what really stands out is the customer service. This is one of those Cafe's you just want to be at. They know the local's names when they walk in. My server is so incredibly friendly. No joke about the food either. Seriously try this place out. You won't be sorry.

Food was so good. My kids kept asking to go there while we were visiting Grosse Ile Michigan.

Very friendly nice location. I enjoyed my omelette, my daughter loved her cinnamon sugar French toast. My husband was very dissatisfied with his bowl. He said that it was mostly hash browns with no flavor. My 6 year old had to wait an extra 10 mins for her food so she ate half of mine. I would definitely give it another try when we are back in town.

Atmosphere: what I expected from a breakfast diner. Friendly staff, you can sit at the counter or tables/booths. The staff knows the regulars by name, their orders and what's going on in their lives which definitely gives you the feeling that it's almost out of a movie. I feel like the local sheriff gets his/her morning coffee there while contemplating how they are going to handle to local trouble maker. Cleanliness: 5*sService: see above. Service is great which brings the regulars inFood: price vs value- you get a great breakfast! The value well outweighs the price. I got the Big man's breakfast and I walked away stuffed at a low priceI will be back during my next visit

I live on the island (Grosse Ile). It feels like I'm in a small town already. Kathy's Cafe completes the feeling. Good homemade food, friendly service. You eat there often enough they will remember you and what you like.
